Social Status Detroit, is a multi-use community hub that continues to bridge experience and retail dedicated to reclaiming the city’s east side through reimaging a 100-year old commercial building into a destination for culture, connection, and local impact.
Social Status Detroit offers an immersive experience that blends culture, fashion, hospitality, and art into one of the most storied neighborhoods. Housed in 1,750 square foot historic structure, the space features a range of distinct concepts, including a window cafe, a central courtyard, and a basketball half-court designed to host neighborhood events and foster local engagement.
Housed within Social Status Detroit, the newest beSocial space serves as an intentional hub for community and creative programming, dedicated to uplifting and amplifying the cultural contributions of the city. Open to all, the space invites people to gather for weekly events, connect, collaborate, and build meaningful relationships in an environment designed to foster creativity, conversation, and community.
The adaptive reuse of the building was led by architecture firm T+E+A+M, transforming the site into a thoughtfully designed, multi-purpose facility.
